MANON TO MARGUERITE.

After meeeting Armand and becoming his lover, Marguerite begins to see mysterious phantom appearances of the fictional Manon Lescaut everywhere. Manon, now inexplicably a real presence in Marguerite's life, invites an intimate relationship with her and they strike up a strange sort of connection. Eventually the only person left to keep Marguerite company in death is the fictional prostitute in whom she sees herself.
